Sr. Manager, Application Development

Bright Horizons seeks a full time Senior Manager, Application Development at our offices located at 2 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
Provide hands-on management and development for applications across emerging lines of business, and provide strategic leadership across the application development team.
Duties include:
Design enterprise-scale applications and application enhancements using distributed, micro services, DDD, event-driven, cloud native architectures.

Net MVC and CSLA frameworks.
Provide technical leadership on design, development, and execution of software solutions; proposing new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.
Utilize micro services and distributed n-tier architecture to develop application features using C#,.
Net, Angular, SQL and ensure that all components of the technical architecture are properly implemented.
Utilize web technologies, REST, Design Patterns (CQRS, Outbox, SAGA, Circuit Breaker, and Mediator) to build scalable, highly available, and reliable enterprise applications.
Proactively identify ways in which system and process changes can improve efficiency of key users, customer service, accuracy of results, and/or completeness of data.
Lead.
Net web application development to design and implement those changes.
Develop and use relevant industry standards and domain information models to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and achieve compliance with mandated standards/guidelines.
Maximize the productivity of the project team by implementing an effective development environment, establishing programming, design, and other technical standards, training team members, and providing advisory and trouble-shooting support.
Utilize Scrum and Agile methodologies, and support application issues, and modifications in collaboration with Application Support, Quality Assurance and Development teams.
Perform project scoping, including Time lines, budget, and deliverables for each release.
Position requirements:
Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field, plus five years of experience in a software development role.
In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field, plus seven years of progressive experience in a software development role.
Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include each of the following:
5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft technologies and development practices, including C#,.
Net, and.
Net Core; 4 years of experience managing all phases of the project life cycle, including running project prioritization meetings, and post-installation project post-mortem meetings, and ensuring projects meet deadlines and are within budget; 4 years of experience working on multiple software applications from design to conceptualization to product launch; 4 years of experience designing enterprise-scale applications using distributed, micro services, DDD, event-driven, and cloud native architectures; 4 years of experience building a system with high-security standards, identifying vulnerabilities, and preventing attack vectors; 4 years of experience utilizing web technologies, REST, and Design Patterns including CQRS, Outbox, SAGA, Circuit Breaker, and Mediator; 3 years of experience utilizing Scrum and Agile methodologies, and support application issues, and modifications.
2 years of providing technical leadership on design, development, and execution of software solutions; 2 years of experience performing project scoping, including Time lines, budget, and deliverables for each release.
Salary:
$158,047/year.
