Historic Newton Historic Newton Newton, MA Newton, MA Part-time Part-time From $29 an hour From $29 an hour The part-time Community Engagement Manager (CEM) is responsible for expanding Historic Newton's audiences through outreach and marketing, and for coordinating a calendar of public programming to maximize impact.
In service to Historic Newton's vision of a community that knows its history and history's power to enrich the future, the CEM oversees and promotes Historic Newton's entire calendar of public programming, and helps plan and deliver some programs.
As the principal promoter of Historic Newton, the CEM must be an exceptional communicator, with a strong marketing background, and must value working collaboratively and forming partnerships.
The CEM must exercise good judgment in representing Historic Newton's brand and in serving the public.
The CEM must be able to ascertain what's important to members of the community and to foster a sense of belonging to our institution.
The successful candidate will have a track record of championing diversity, equity, inclusion, and access.
Ability and disposition to effectively promote all aspects of Historic Newton through social media, targeted outreach, email communication, marketing collateral, media relations, thoughtful networking, and other methods is essential.
Experience with event and program planning and implementation is required.
The CEM must be proficient in Microsoft Office, design software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred), and CRM databases, and must possess a mastery of digital communication tools.
Being highly competent at project management, from attending to myriad details to achieving big-picture goals, while making the most of limited resources, is essential.
As part of a team, the CEM will also contribute to exhibit projects, educational initiatives, and fundraising efforts.
Finally, the CEM is responsible for gaining a working knowledge of Newton history as well as the historical content and collections of the Jackson Homestead Museum and Durant- Kenrick House and Grounds; knowledge of American history is strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
