9 Newton, MA Newton, MA Full-time Full-time $22 an hour $22 an hour The Accounting Clerk provides support to the Finance Department to enable the team to support purchasing needs and provide timely and accurate financial results.
The Accounting Clerk maintains accounts by verifying and recording accounts payable transactions.
The Accounting Clerk also completes payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
This position is a hybrid role- remote Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, & Tuesdays and Thursdays in person at the Newton office but days are subject to change.
Process accounts payable - check requests - vendor invoices.
Efficiently manage the processing and procurement of orders using Procurify, ensuring timely execution while keeping financial information secure and confidential.
Track/Flag employee reimbursements Cash disbursements - ACH, Manual & regular AP Checks Maintain accounts payable inbox and record invoices in QuickBooks Seek supporting approvals or other information as needed to confirm invoices.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls Protects Garden Remedies value by keeping information secure and confidential All other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills:
Deadline oriented Proficient mathematics skills Strong multitasking and time-management skills Exhibits a positive attitude and flexibility on the job including the willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations.
Microsoft Office Proficiency Familiarity with QuickBooks Strong written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention-to-detail Must be available to work a hybrid work schedule (Tuesdays & Thursdays in person at Newton office) Supervision:
Works under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager This position is not responsible for supervising other employees Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
