We're looking for engineers interested in building something fun and useful on a variety of platforms. We aren't necessarily looking for mobile experts, just great engineers who are excited about mobile and fearless about picking up new technologies. This client's mobile team is responsible for iOS and Android apps, their API, and mobile website.
We're rocketing up the hockey stick, playing with the coolest toys, and working on interesting problems that engage both the technical and aesthetic sides of the brain. We move quickly - projects are short (generally 3-7 days), and we have a new release every week. You'll ship code almost every week, and the features you create will be used by millions of people every day. All programmers work on the full stack - from native code, to the presentation layer, through the servers, down to the database. We are well known for having an extremely strong engineering organization - you'll be working with the best, playing with cool toys and getting stuff done, in the fastest growing area of an incredibly profitable, growing, fun company.
You Will
oTouch code at every level - from the UI, to the servlets and backend services, down to the database and Hadoop
oDesign complex systems and lead the technical solution of projects
oWork closely with our product and design teams to define feature specifications
oBe responsible for the code quality on your team
oMentor more junior developers
oDevelop, deploy and maintain the consumer-facing features of the mobile website
oResponsible for all aspects of software engineering, from design to implementation, QA and maintenance.
?Qualifications
oBachelor of Science in Computer Science (or equivalent)
oSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design
oStrong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, combined with intellectual curiosity, and a desire and ability to get things done are essential requirements
o8
years of large scale, full life cycle development experience
oRock-solid programming skills
oKnowledge of Linux, Java, JavaScript and related open source technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, and Hadoop
oExperience programming in a Linux environment
oDetail oriented, organized, self-motivated
oProven success at an Internet startup or early stage company is a plus
oExperience developing mobile apps or mobile websites is a plus
